Monthly Donations

Place for Peanut, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization servicing the Houston area founded by Megan Cardet.  We are a sanctuary for horses, donkeys and miniature horses and provide special programs and equine therapy to children and veterans in hospitals. The organization is devoted to the rescue of horses and other equines from slaughterhouses. Since it was founded in January 2016, more than 350 horses and donkeys have been saved.

A Place for Peanut operates entirely on donations and volunteers. Once we save an equine from the kill pen, they must be assessed and treated by a veterinarian, quarantined, and rehabbed before finding their forever home. Every dollar helps this process. Whether you can afford a monthly donation or a one time donation, your generosity is greatly appreciated. If you are not able to donate at this time, consider coming to the farm to help care for our rescues.
