Peanut - the little girl who started it all. Peanut was an orphan in the slaughter pipeline. Another rescue pulled her and we took her and 6 of our friends in and A Place for Peanut was born.

Since January of 2016 we have saved approximately 400 souls.

Thor is one of our belgian drafts. He is about four years old and was sent to the kill pens after sustaining an injury while working for the amish. Thor is our most playful horse and is a gentle giant!

Rircardo is a 25 year old Holsteiner Warmblood imported from Germany. He is an incredible athlete who used to do the jumping circuit. He is now retired with us living his best life!

Superman is a tiny mini stallion. He has no idea of his size - he plays with the drafts! He will be gelded in the coming months and become one of our therapy horses. You've got to see him in person - he's something else!

Chanel is one of our Belgian drafts and is 20 years old. After a long and hard life working for the amish, she sustained an injury to her hind leg. Chanel is a gentle giant and loves being the queen of her pasture. 

St. Nick and his family were our 2022 Christmas saves. He's a growing baby and will soon be weaned from his Mom. He is halter trained and leads like a champ. Loves people and will be a great addition to any family.

Daenerys aka Dani was retired with us. She is the cutest sweetest little dwarf. When groomed, she looks like a Unicorn. She loves to be groomed and her best buddy is Sweetie Pie 

Sweetie Pie came in with Dani and was retired with us. She used to pull a cart but now she has a hard time breathing so we don't ask her to work at all. She's living her best life with her best friend, Daenerys.

Hi! My name is Scout and I’m 2 weeks old today! My Mom was rounded up on the Navajo Nation in AZ and she ended up in a kill pen. Thankfully, APFP saved her and I was born here in luxury. Mark, my trainer has already been working with me- he says I’m a smart boy!

I love to run and sleep- oh and eat!

Liberty was born on the eve of fourth of July, 2022. Her mother is Naomi. She is a precious filly that has been handled since birth. She has legs for days and is larger than some of our 2 year olds at only 8 mos!

Shadow came to us from another rescue. They saved him from a hoarding situation. He was terrified of people but is now halter broke and learning to trust. He is a sweet beautiful gelding and is best friends with Bear.

APFP saved Maggie from the slaughter pipeline at only 2 years old. She was completely unhandled but very curious. She lived with a foster home her first year and then came home to us. She has undergone cancer treatment at Texas A&M and is now cancer free. She's a gorgeous mare that loves routine

Bob Allen aka "Bobby" joined our herd in 2017. He is a tiny mini gelding that is part of our therapy team. Before being gelded, he sired both Carys & Cadeau. He has one blue eye and is as handsome as his namesake.

Noelle is St. Nick's Mom. She is a little paint pony and is large enough for a small child. She is still in rehabilitation and then will go into training to see what she knows. She is a sweet pony and is curious.

Hulk is a yearling Belgian Draft colt. He was discarded because of a crooked nose and partial paralysis in his mouth. He is an absolute doll and extremely trusting. We can't wait to watch him grow up!

UT is the coolest little donkey. He came in with his little family and is the Daddy to April. He is named UT due to having a longhorn on his left hind hip. UT is one of our guardians for the farm. 

Cadeau is the daughter of Vida - they are both hand raised and our two of our best therapy minis. Cadeau loves attention and is a sweetheart!

Apple Jack is almost a year old! He is Cheerio's colt and was rescued from the kill pens when he was only a day old. Apple Jack is the sweetest colt and loves people. He is full of personality and we can't wait to watch him grow!

Lucky Charms is 2 years old now! He was rescued with Coco from the kill pens. We were told that Coco was his mother, however that didn't seem to be the case. Lucky Charms has been with his foster mom "Big Momma" and is growing up so fast! He's already bigger than his best friend Apple Jack! He loves to run with the other foals and is very curious.

Valentino is a one year old Percheron colt. He is still growing but is as sweet as they come. He will be a big boy!

Carys is another sweet mini that is part of our therapy team. She's 3 years old.

Vida was born with us - her parents were some of our very first rescues. Vida was born one month after saving her family. She is an amazing therapy horse and is very gentle with all people

April is UT's baby and she is almost a year old. She's a little firecracker with a huge personality!

Thomas is one of the most beautiful donkeys you've ever seen. Black dipped in black. He's a super sweet boy and is part of the APFP family. His job is to guard our herd and keep them safe

Outlaw is the herd manager of our therapy mini group and Jesse's best friend. He's very protective of his herd

Tessie  lost her eye do a bacterial infection but that doesn't slow her down. She's part of our therapy group

Wynona is 3 years old and currently in training, She has a lovely gait, is exceptionally smart and has a bright future! 

Naomi came to us last year - APFP intercepted the kill buyer at auction and brought her home. She is a loving, gentle and very patient mare. 

Bear was rescued with his sister who didn't live through the illness caught in the slaughter pipeline. This pony was extremely terrified of people. Our trainer has been working with him for awhile now and he's getting better daily but is looking for his special person.. He is bonded and best friends with Shadow.

Lorenzo is just turning 2 and is still growing. He is a beautiful Percheron stallion that will eventually be gelded

Spice is Daisy's best friend - they have grown up together since losing their mothers at an early age. He is one of our therapy minis
